Hello

I am planning on using Thameslink to Heathrow Terminal 5 from Peterborough, I am not familiar with the route. I am going in the first week of December but I understand if I were to get the Heathrow Express I would need to get a tube from Kings Cross I am just unsure about using Thameslink to Farringdon and then Farringdon to Heathrow Terminal 5 required a tube or just getting off at Farringdon and if it would be another Thameslink from Farringdon to Heathrow Terminal 5.

Many thanks

Hi,
I'm not sure if you're aware but Thameslink does not operate to Heathrow. If it were me travelling I would exit my thameslink train from Peterborough at Farringdon and then follow the signage for Elizabeth Line west where there will be trains to Heathrow.
Heathrow Express is a separate premium service that operates from Paddington (high level).

This is the best option, and reasonably cheap. If you really want to save, then Thameslink to Kings Cross/St P and Piccadilly line from there.

l don’t know when you’re travelling but if it’s more than 60 days away then you may be able to get a £10 advance ticket with Heathrow Express from Paddington, when combined with a £2.80 peak/£2.70 off-peak zone one Contactless or Oyster fare this compares favourably with the £13.30 fare from Farringdon on the Elizabeth line.

Thameslink train from Peterborough (train goes to Horsham)

Get out at Farringdon, and go up the stairs (or possibly down in the lift??) - cross OVER the Thameslink line and go straight on towards the Elizabeth Line.

This should take you around a corner and onto an escalator heading Down.

At the bottom, turn RIGHT and look for a train that goes to Heathrow Terminal 5....

I'll leave it to others to advise on pricing - but this is the way I went a few weeks ago to "collect" some relatives...

Think I did Peterborough-Farringdon return and a Farringdon-Heathrow T5 return..
