Hi all,

I am going down to Penzance for a weekend in November - and just wondering what lines people would recommend?

I have already got the St Ives branch on my list, and want to bag some Castle Class sets there too.

What would people recommend?

All of the Cornish branch lines have their charm though the short days in November make it a bit less appealing. Looe is probably my favourite, with a lovely town at the end. You'll only find Castles on the mainline unless there is a (very occasional) swop on the Par-Newquay if 150 availability is poor.

Falmouth branch has the quirk of the two trains on the branch passing each other at Penryn station, Penryn just having the one platform. Bit like Dovey Junction with the Aberystwyth branch
