I was issued a penalty fare on Thameslink for not having a valid ticket. I paid the fare online through “Penalty Fare Notice” (as opposed to “Out of court settlement”).
Here’s the silly bit: in my shame, having already paid my penalty fare, I binned my slip. So I don’t remember my notice number. However, since I explicitly remember paying through penalty fare notice, I’m certain I was given a GTREPF number instead of GTREM. I appreciate that I should count myself lucky.
This is what I’m curious about: I had my details taken. Should I expect more to come out of this incident? I do remember reading “consider this matter settled” after the payment went through on the webpage but I’m not sure whether my mind is playing tricks on me.
