Pathfinder railtours headboard.

On the headboard for the last Pathfinders railtour, there is a bird which looks like a vulture near the F and W railtours wording. Any ideas why.

I'm sure it was a vulture.
Any back in the 80s F&W were known for their quality railtours, you were guaranteed a great day out. Route, choice of traction etc..

Yes a Vulture was used, it was called Veronica!
The Gargoylian Gasconader in spring 1983 is an example of a railtour with it on the headboard.

Do you by any chance know what the connection is between Veronica and F and W railtours. It must be the most photographed bird ever. The places she has been to, not to mention the haulage she has enjoyed. A small but important part of our railway history. Happy retirement Veronica.
