Amongst some railway archive material that has just been donated to me concerning the Wigan Junction Railways, on the sheet that talks about Bickershaw and Abram railway station, there is a pencil note at the top stating that Park Lane Halt was a short-lived 1930's halt situated to the south of it, but nothing else in the way of information.

Has anyone ever heard of this halt and the dates when it was operational ? I am wondering if this was was an unadvertised halt for both miners and workmens trains from Wigan Central railway station. There were nearby colleries in that specific area, so any information will be most gratefully received.
