A number of GWR IET operated services are making extra stops at Twyford, Maidenhead and Slough during peak time to compensate for the reduced Elizabeth line and GWR 387 operated services.
On a Friday, not a problem. Tu/We/Th, during term time, a handful of IETs in no way compensates for 12-car 387s - commuter volumes are far too high for this - in the morning some of those IETs stop on normal days anyway. It’s been chaos this week.

Repairs are ongoing, it's just that there is no exact confirmation on timeframe hence the "until further notice". It seems like it will be 1-2 weeks.

What's actually not working? I assume it's not the cabling but instead the transformer (?) itself?

The Kensal Green incident page on NRE was updated little over an hour ago, it now reads that the reduced service will continue "until further notice".
It’s said that for a couple of days now. To be honest it’s getting really annoying now, I understand that things are complicated but it really wears you down if you use the train regularly.

It might help more if they put together a more detailed page showing what is wrong and what needs to be fixed, they do it for lengthy engineering works and this is now going to be longer than most of those. And if they know it’s going to be a week or two, put the cancellations in a few days ahead, don’t keep doing it every night and dashing hopes every morning!

Maybe as they have said it is trespass it is now classed as criminal investigation which limits the information that can be made public. Network Rail normally put out photos and videos and reports on how the team is doing in these kind of incidents, almost nothing with this one.

Looking promising that a full service will resume next week.

Is the right answer. AIUI there has been at least one arrest.
