Overseas Holidays - Sleeper trains / compartments

Thinking that the offerings of the likes of www.greatrail.com and others were offered as 'something special' and a 'great' railway 'journey' I assumed you had your own sleeper compartment on the the train for the week or however long it was. In practice I see you just shuttle between towns before being dumped in a fairly basic hotel for the night. Not much of a holiday having to repack your suitcase every five minutes like a refugee on the run. Anyone know of what I'd call a proper railway journey holiday where you live on the train for the duration?

Certainly deserves closer inspection. Website is a bit flakey and gives the appearance of a recent startup operation, and reading between the lines it looks like you have to spend probably a good two or three hours each way reaching the sight seeing destinations by coach after leaving the train for the day, but thanks for finding it as I doubt I would have done. Shall read up on them a bit more as in principle, you're right, its the sort of thing I was looking for.
