Oven not working, anybody know what it might be?

Hi everyone,

The landlord came to have a look at the oven yesterday and has ordered a new one, as we've tried everything which has been suggested here and it's still not working.

For reference, if its just an oven, (and you have a gas hob) then they're often just plugged into a 13A socket behind somewhere. Most ovens have an element between 2000 and 2500watts (8A and 10A give or take) so are fine on a 13A plug. It's only when combined with a 4 ring electric hob that they require their own circuit which can be anything up to 40A.
