That third party website claims it operates summer Sundays but lacks a timetable, exact dates of operation or even a date of when the page’s info was last updated (that I noticed), so not a particularly useful resource in relation to trying to use the route. Especially with other sources saying it’s only when cruise ships are in (rare they in every Sunday?) and the operator themselves seemingly making no official information available to the general public.

I also note that website still lists routes that haven’t run for a couple of years, with the Southsea Coaster page giving the 2023 dates (the last year it operated) accompanied by a timetable dated 2022

I don’t recall that ‘547’ ever operating as described in that link.
The 547 did often get the Open Top bus on one of its two allocations one summer (perhaps 2023), but that was on Mon-Sat only and between Greenock and Lunderston Bay only.

Having just stumbled upon this thread, I too will add a belated thank you to @Flange Squeal for the listing. I certainly need to get out and do a few of the scenic 'topless' routes over the next couple of summers!

This thread reminded me that, back in 2015, when Retro Railtours ran a charter to Skegness, in the tour booklet - a work of mine - I included a list of the Open Top buses based in Skegness. It obviously generated a bit of interest, as, on the return leg, one chap told me his group had been spotting them from the pub he was in, and he'd seen one that wasn't on the list!
