A couple of other odd journeys I remember.

On a saturday afternoon back in June 2015 I was on the short lived 622 service from Tetbury to Yate. That afternoon an annual event called the Chipping Sodbury Festival was taking place. As part of this a parade takes place through the high street and as such buses normally routed that way including the 622 were all required to divert.

The driver however forgot this and went the normal route. We arrived at Chipping Sodbury High Street just as the parade was about to start. Consequently me and the driver(I was the only passenger) were stuck sitting there until the parade had passed. The floats included one with some bagpipe players and another blaring out "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"!

A couple of weeks later I went on a service between Wotton Under Edge and Thornbury. 5 minutes after I'd boarded the driver pulled into a petrol station in a village called Charfield and announced there'd be a 5 minute delay whilst he refueled the bus.

Also around the same time I was traveling back from Filton to Yate one afternoon on the Eurotaxis operated 680 service. That afternoon it was being worked by a mistral bodied jonckheere coach. We got as far as UWE and the driver announced there was a problem with the coach. As there were only a couple of us on the replacement vehicle ended up being a taxi.
