There will be free parking for some at Whitby and for others at Grosmont, these staff will get to travel in on the first train, out on the last, obviously also for free. Additional training will be given for the duties at Whitby, which is a Network Rail Station, so there are some extra safety responsibilities (such as buffer stop movement check and reports - hopefully never needing movement report!), Network Rail PTS and more. A new Whitby Station Operating Team is being set up and we are looking for enthusiastic members, who enjoy the challenge of working in a new environment and developing a successful working relationship. Opportunities to work alternate duties with Grosmont will be part of the suggested methods of working, so as to build competences at both our busiest station and a national network one.
