Hi all,
Do these flask services follow a set timetable from certain power stations to Sellafield? I understand that there will be a varying amount of traffic due to the amount of waste at each facility which would require processing. I've attempted to find a pattern in workings but have come up empty handed.

Also on a side note, are all flask trains to be 68/88 hauled or is there still the chance that class 37s or 57s could work the service?

Thanks

The trains themselves all have fixed 'WTT' schedules although as you have found, the days that they operate have no fixed pattern.

I constantly monitor flask train running days and update the FMonline timetables accordingly,
but even I can and get caught out from time to time!

If it helps, trains are currently running most weeks to Sellafield from Heysham, Seaton, Torness, Hunterston and Dungeness,
plus sporadic workings from Georgemas Junctrion, Berkeley and Winfrith (Bridgwater appears to on a hiatus at present)

Always 68s/88s now, with the exception of the Far North train, which is 66-hauled.

There were a few movements to a from Sizewell recently, wondered if that was starting up again but it looks like they were one offs.

Probably route refresh / retention and to stop NR cancelling the paths.
