Does anyone know if Nottingham's Line 2 scheme is likely to be going ahead?

It looked like quite a big project and having done a recent survey on Line 1, I was quite keen to find out if I could get involved with it.

The funding was approved, in principle, by DfT, for "Phase 2" which is just the branches off each end of Line 1.
"Phase 2" as they call it, includes 2 branches: Line 2 to Clifton and Line 3 to Beeston and Chilwell.
But the massive Public Enquiry has led to so much documentation that the Secretary of State hasn't yet been able to grant the powers to aquire the land.

But meanwhile, the public financial defecit has put so much pressure on all spending, so who knows if and when work will actually start? Contracts could have being going out this year. Though some "invitations to tender" did go out in December.
I understand that Contracts will be awarded in August 2011.
