It (The Railway operation) is still closed because a Lot of work (Infrastructure and paperwork) has been found to be necessary by the new management. There had been several issues raised following an ORR inspection. The rest of the Ruddington site - model engineers and heritage bus operation are regularly open to the public I believe. Railway operations are hoped to be restarted a bit later this year.
The Signal and Telegraph team have been busy putting a lever frame into Hotchley Hill signal box.
As ever, more volunteers are always welcome to help out!
The Great Central Railway, with whom they will eventually merge, has approved the spend of £1m for essential repairs to a bridge which is vital to running trains safely. It'll also allow some main line freight flows to be restored to the route.

This A60 bridge is planned to be replaced at the start of October....to be completed by the end of October. So that will be one more stage of the "Bridging the Gap " project completed.
There is more work being done at the Hotchley Hill Signal box as well.
