I have very recently seen a video of 512 (yellow line CNG) up in smoke (and some commenters claim that it was apparently in flames). I wonder if anybody could confirm that as it is slightly worrying if 512 were to be a second vehicle to succumb to fire in less than a few weeks.

Where is said video circulating?

I can’t imagine it to be as large a fire as say 440’s was but it’d certainly be interesting to see how things play out if its confirmed. Theres been no other scania CNG fires with other operators either so for them to go for years with no issue, and then they suddenly start going up would suggest they need to look at whats recently changed, or what recently changed on both specific vehicles potentially

Although TB never seem to have got to grips with the cause of the fires ravaging their E200s and maybe this will be similar, a spate of bad luck perhaps

NCTs vehicles are certainly more suited to the type of work they do, in fact the Scanias are probably overkill for some of the routes but NCT were hugely scania devoted for some years, its a shame that they’ve practically pulled out of the UK market

Looks more like steam than smoke but could be wrong
