Sit back and enjoy this slideshow - Real trains on a real railway

Now I seldom use this phrase, but crikey that really is HELLFIRE!

Just like reading my past present books & the collection of diesels in the regions (circa 1970's) I have, its lovely to see "proper" railways but so depressing when you look at the state they are in now.

Thanks for that great link Meld. The railways as I remember and worked on them. Great shots at Aberdeen Ferryhill Depot and the great shots of the Western Hydrauics that I also worked on. Hoped that I may have been seen in one, but no luck. It really was a different railway back then and a joy to work on. In spite of the lower wages and in particular, the grimmie conditions in the steam days. Fantastic, not a miserable, cheapie plastic Unit in site.
