Northern Belle

Is there more than one set of coaches for the Northern Belle, as I saw the train travelling through Reading last night at about 7pm looking like it was travelling towards London, yet the website for the Northern Belle is showing for yesterday about travelling down from Scunthorpe and Grimsby for a day trip to Bath.

The train had a class 68 locomotive at each end.

Surely the Northern Belle is not travelling through Reading going eastwards on the GWML to get to the ECML from somewhere like North Pole junction to travel back up the ECML?

Realtimetrains was showing out via Birmingham (http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U63418/2016/09/24/advanced), and back via London (http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U63419/2016/09/24/advanced), passing Reading, as you say, about 1900.

Only the one train as far as I understand, and yes that was the Bristol & Bath train you saw heading back to Cleethorpes.
