You girls keep getting the wrong idea about what I am saying its sad really; The point I am getting across is, if you want reviews and crap don't bother going to them ask me as I've read almost every review of every entry level DSLR.

Okay because this is getting silly were gonna agree that you have a good worthwhile opinion due to reading up not the best opinion not the worst okay because as some of us see your point some of us also fail to see your point.

Believe me, I have spent hours and days on DSLRs.

Since I was 10 I've used Nikon SLRs, Fuji Finepix S2 and S3 pro DSLRs, tested both my dads Olympus E410 and E510, used Canon 350D and use/own a 400D.

IMO, I probably know more about entry level DSLRs here than most people, PM me if you'd like a DECENT opinion, as I have spent hours researching DSLRs, as I am hoping to get one, if it doesn't meet what I have, will be going for a Nikon.

Right then, if you know "everything" about DSLRs, why don't you own one yet?
If you think you know the best, tell me why many lenses don't work with 35mm FSLRs? Do it without looking at your "What Digital Camera" Magazine. If I want a DECENT opinion, I will go to people who own, have had experience, or a camera shop assistant who is happy to help with the camera/lens/accessory I am interested in. Not a snotty nosed kid who's been on Wikipedia too long.
I am agreeing with many of the member's on here.
I will make my OWN decision, and the Original Poster was just pointing something many Rail Photographers may be interested in for there first SLR, a back up/second SLR when out about on their travels.

Alternatively, I can buy the magazine myself and read it. I'm not dyslexic.

To conclude: Stop thinking your a know-it-all. I have eyes, hands, a mouth and ears. I will look for SLRs using the said sences.

Once again I need to make a formal statement:

@Jamie - Firstly, you are telling me off and having a groan from previous events. Secondly I don't care if you have handled the most expensive DSLR ever. I am just stating this all from what I have read, I don't think I am mr I know it all I am just telling YOU what I have read.

@BJmorely - You really need another award apart from stoat of the year :roll:. The quote ''a snotty nosed kid'' really needs re-writing. You are judging me by everyone elses own standards when I am the same AGE as you :roll:.

Secondly, I am not a know it all, I am stating as said what I have read. Also, where the hell are you getting what digital camera from? . Thirdly I haven't got a DSLR becuase I am not rich like everyone else including yourself seems to be, it is evident that the furthest North, and the only place North I have been is York. Now if you want to keep slagging somone else that is the same age as you off fine by me your wasting your time.


Its these comments that get me banned and moderated, you should be proud of yourselfs :roll:.

Indeed, and I'll add a few things as well - based on feedback I've received I try to give a reason whenever I'm involved in a thread locking.

To be honest I'm surprised this thread hasn't been picked up at least two weeks ago based on some of the posts in here.

If you really do have to have arguments with each other please leave it off the forum rather than filling a thread with unconstructive posts that really don't need to be made.

Yes, by all means have a proper debate about something but don't resort to winding each other up about things as has gone on in here. Not saying that Fred is completely blameless here but some comments seemed to have slipped through the moderation net that, in my opinion, shouldn't have been let through but that's our concern to worry about.
