New community train tracker app

I'm thinking of making an app led by the community to report real-time statuses of trains! E.g. approaching/arrived/leaving, doors open/closed and your current travelling experience.
You click on a station, and it shows the active or next departing train at each platform. You then declare the various statuses of the train you're interested in as mentioned above.
Thoughts on this - and are there any features you'd love to see? :D

Why bother? It's never going to have as comprehensive coverage as the tracker apps that use the live data feeds from NR's systems.

I'm going to do it as a fun side project. I love the idea of having the railfan community provide real time details about their favourite services and combining this with live rail data APIs would provide a much more accurate status.
