Sorry if this has been posted already.
Nene Valley Railway has confirmed its Orton Mere signal box is out of use following a string of suspected arson attacks, which took place across the Ortons, between Sunday and Monday night.

It happened on the same night as a number of cars were destroyed – incidents which police said could all be linked.

Very heartened to hear two local schoolchildren have set up two funding pages for it - they have raised over 6 grand in total!

Will they have to do some token working? Or were they doing that already
It's a crossing point on a single line, so presumably that was normal.

Fortunately it seems the crossing loop isn't required on ordinary running days, so clipping and padlocking the points and temporarily working Wansford-Peterborough as one section would be OK.

On quieter days the box is/was switched out, using a King lever. The two respective train staff/token were clipped to one another, so it just made the one section, as mentioned above.
