Adding an extra Liverpool when you are reducing services because of low demand is a courageous idea (as Sir Humphrey might have said), and LNR might complain at the Nuneaton stop.
Stafford instead of Nuneaton on the xx37 would suffice.

But in any case, if you recast the timetable properly now you will have trouble reinstating the old version as demand recovers.

This is what makes no sense. If the Avanti services are to be reduced due to covid demand or cost reduction. there are unlikely to be any routes that would be justified in being increased.

To be fair to the original posting which simply proposed 6tph from Euston broadly in existing timeslots, if Avanti were to also pull out of the North Wales Coast services as well they could remove Voyager operation completely and perhaps reduce the Pendolino fleet by a third. If the xx43 from Euston were to be diverted to Manchester instead of Scotland, perhaps there would be no need for Cross Country to continue running Bournemouth to Manchester services north of Birmingham. Indeed, if Chiltern could divert one of their Birmingham service from Marylebone to run from Birmingham to Oxford, taking over GWR stops at the stations between Banbury and Oxford, and leaving 1tph from Marylebone to Birmingham, perhaps Cross Country could pull the Manchester to Bournemouth service altogether, saving a lot of diesel running.

Someone somewhere must be drawing up (plotting) a 'bare minimum' service as a response to the fall in demand and there are some massive synergies like this that could make a material impact in the number of miles run.

I’d like to see the three main Trent valley stations served better so something like this:
Euston - Piccadilly (Watford Jn, Rugby, Coventry, Intl, New Street, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Stoke, Stockport)
Euston - Scotland (Milton Keynes, Coventry, Intl, New Street, Sandwell & Dudley, Wolverhampton, Crewe, Warrington, Wigan, Preston, Lancaster, Oxenholme, Penrith, Carlisle, And either Glasgow or Edinburgh)
Euston - Piccadilly (Milton Keynes, Stoke, Macclesfield, Stockport)
Euston - Piccadilly (Nuneaton, Crewe, Wilmslow, Stockport)
Euston - Liverpool (Tamworth, Lichfield, Stafford, Crewe, Runcorn)
Euston - Glasgow (Rugby, Crewe, Warrington, Wigan, Preston, Lancaster, Oxenholme, Penrith, Carlisle, Motherwell)

This would reduce the timetable down to 6 out of Euston, however there could also be the possibility of keeping the 3rd Birmingham and extending it to Liverpool to replace the LNWR service. The second Birmingham would takeover the Manchester from XC and instead of the North Wales terminating at Crewe and the XC at Brum it would transfer over to XC so that the Bournemouth would run to Chester/North Wales. This would allow the voyagers to be ridden of to XC and a sole Pendolino fleet with 100% electric running. The Shrewsbury’s would also have to be transferred to XC as consequence however a connection into an Avanti should be prioritised.

The BiMode order could then be transferred over to XC for either the North Wales to South Coast route or the South West to North East route. Despite these being 5 car with them having more seating than a Voyager they could be used on the Principle service in which depots at GWR and LNER could be utilised and electric running along the East Coast.

If a path in to Manchester was lost, I’d sooner it be a XC service and have the 3rd Manc service directed via Birmingham to bolster capacity on the section of Manc-Reading that the majority of passengers use, i.e. an 11-car London-Brum-Manc plus a 4/5 car Bristol-Brum-Manc, rather than 2 XC services made up of 4 or 5 cars.
