Most cost efficient travel option

Hi guys,

I live in New Zealand but I am coming home for Christmas to visit family and will be staying in Cheshunt. I will be traveling into London central and using the tube regularly through the day before returning back to Cheshunt for the first 7 days of my trip.

I have read that there are all sorts of methods to pay for train transport... travel cards, oyster cards, capping etc. But can't work out what would be the most cost efficient option for me an my wife ? ?

If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated.

Oyster or contactless Pay As You Go should do it. You can use both these methods at Cheshunt station which is in Zone 8.

I would say Oyster, unless you have a contactless card which has no foreign exchange rate charges.
