After driving my car all week with all its whistles & bells I long to get behind the wheel of the other family car, a 2001 VW Polo.

It’s bog standard.

no air con,
no electric windows
Rubbish radio
No power
Very comfortable although lacking in leg room (I’m 6ft 4)

However I love it.

Only thing that needs to be added to cars is a warning light to say you have a blown bulb!

Clearly a lot of ignorant drivers about then ignoring bright dash lights telling them a headlamp bulb is out.
Then again if you can’t tell you’ve a headlamp out then you need your license taking off you.

Couple of years ago I was looking at a new car (ex-demo) and the sheer volume of stuff on the steering wheel completely turned me off. Complete overload, and surely distracting, especially while you are "learning" where everything is?

Our Ford Kuga is nearly 4 years old and there’s buttons I still haven’t used or even swotted up on for what they actually do. I think they are something to do with the Sync 3 information/entertainment mobile phone system or whatever. When we bought the car the dealer paired my mobile phone with the Sync 3. What this is supposed to do I don’t know. I did once try to update the in car navigation system via my mobile following instructions from YouTube. That ended in failure so I haven’t bothered since.
