itv said:Surrey Police is appealing for help from members of the public in tracing a vulnerable man from Horley who disappeared whilst on an outing in London yesterday.
David Benton, 20, who was being escorted by carers, went missing from London Victoria train station at around 4.30 pm and he boarded a train which terminated at Caterham.
He then got on another service from Caterham towards London Bridge at around 7.40pm last night but has not been seen since.
Mr Benton suffers from autism and severe learning difficulties and is required to take regular medication for epilepsy. His family are growing increasingly concerned.
He is described as white, around 5ft 9" tall, with short brown hair and was last seen wearing a blue anorak and blue Addidas tracksuit bottoms.
Officers are working closely with colleagues in the British Transport Police and Metropolitan Police and are carrying out a number of enquiries in a bid to locate him.
Police are appealing for any sightings and are particularly asking commuters heading into London this morning to keep a watch out for anyone matching his description.
Anyone who may have seen Mr Benton is asked to call Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference p12372851, or call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
