Missing fares from Tower Gateway DLR?

First post here so I hope I am doing everything right (and please tell me if I am not)!

I have noticed that both the TFL single fare finder and the excellent Oyster Fares website show "no fares found" or something similar when searching from Tower Gateway to many (all?) stations in zone 1.

This seems a bit odd as there are genuine reasons to make some of these journeys on the DLR from Tower Gateway changing at Shadwell to go back into Bank instead of walking to Tower Hill (step free access being one, as Tower Gateway is accessible while Tower Hill is not) and the TFL journey planner will even suggest it for some journeys (for example when searching for Tower Gateway to Bank with the full step free access filter applied).

So, what I was wondering is: what would someone be charged if they made one of these journeys on Oyster/Contactless? Would it be the zone 1 fare? The zone 1/2 fare? Something else (maximum fare, etc)? Is the only way to make these journeys to buy a paper ticket (very expensive)?

Thank you in advance for any answers!

The Oyster / Contactless system will always charge a fare for a journey where a user touched in and out correctly. In the case of Tower Gateway to a Zone 1 station, it would expected that it should be on the TfL Zone 1/2 scale on the basis that the only possible journey goes via Shadwell.

That was quick, thank you!
