If booking a through ticket via Crewe, eg Chester to Derby, what is the minimum official connectional time at Crewe station?

I have googled it, but the answer is a bit vague, it suggests five minutes except if travelling towards Manchester where the connectional time is 10 minutes?

Ten minutes.
No reduction to five minutes.

Also shown in timetable pages at https://www.networkrail.co.uk/running-the-railway/the-timetable/electronic-national-rail-timetable/
CREWE is classified as a LARGE interchange station.Minimum Connection Time is 10 minutes.

If you are referring to something from an external source, for future reference please add a link to, and quote from, the source.

In any case, as @fjollows says, an accurate source is BR Times.

If you are planning an itinerary and don't want to be bogged down by fares, you could use www.fastjp.com, which will adhere to the minimum connection times, however you can optionally allow additional interchange time if you desire.
