Hi all I was playing about last night on one of my apps and RTT working out future trips and noticed in November the Avanti's are on a unusual diversion. Is there anywhere I can find information on what will be running that way thanks

Looks like this may be a fairly regular ECS movement, not just November. Headcode 5K32. Departs Wrexham General at 2042 and then running via Chester, Delamere, Greenbank, Middlewich and Sandbach, before arriving Crewe at just before 2300.

Did notice that one uses the line in passenger service just wanted to poke the hive mind to see if any other weekends had some going that way

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Crewe and Chester, closing all lines.

Avanti West Coast:

Trains will be diverted via Sandbach, extending journey times.

Looks like some sort of weekend blockade on the 15th & 16th November
For just how long have the late evening Wrexham General->Crewe ECS movements been routed via Middlewich? Are they essentially route-learning opportunities for a number of Avanti drivers ahead of the upcoming blockade?
