There's been talk in the local press of reopening Beeston + Tarporley, which seems a little crazy to me given how far it is from the local villages.

However with good car parking it could work as a park and ride, for Chester (shame the station is so far out) and to connect to HS2 at Crewe.

Clearly if it were reopened the only service before any HS2 recast would be a stop on the Chester-Crewe shuttle. How feasible would such a service be? How busy is that line normally? Today there were just 6 trains from 6AM til 10AM

Adding a stop would presumably add about 3-4 minutes to the Chester-Crewe journey, would that be absorbable by the shuttle (in normal cases)?

Will need another unit, you only get about 5-6 minutes at Crewe and Chester.
