MCV build quality in 2024

I spent most of yesterday riding East Yorkshire’s 2017/18 MCV Evoseti’s.

I personally found them to be okay, although they all had their own distinct rattles and squeaks, and the ride quality (particularly at speed) left a lot to be desired.

That did make me wonder if MCV have improved their manufacturing processes since then, given that the ones I sampled were all around 7 years old and were the first batches made for the U.K.

Has anyone on here experienced their newer buses? (BZL’s and 70+ plate Evoseti’s and eVoRa’s)

Their products seem to be more popular these days, with Lothian using them as well as Stagecoach using the BZL’s for the Cambridge P&R and the eVoRa’s for North Scotland services.

How do they compare to the ADL/ Wright products that are on the market?

The Evoras seem nailed together well, my local operator has bought 10 new ones in 2 batches over the last year into what was until then an ADL/Optare fleet. No idea price wise or fuel consumption.
