Maryhill line question - where did trains used to terminate?

Not sure where I should ask this but here goes. Before the extension to Anniesland opened in 2005, where did trains from Glasgow terminating at Maryhill turn back for the return trip? The only place I can think of is at the connection with the North Clyde line further along the line.

They didn't run all the way to Westerton. The empty unit stopped just past the points at Knightswood North Junction, where the driver would change ends and signal YH530 would be cleared for it to run back towards Maryhill.
