Marshlink Electrification + HS1 extension: Is it happening?

There were plans to extend the HS1 network from Ashford to Hastings following the existing Marshlink line. This would require extra rolling stock, as well as electrification of the entire line up to Hastings and remodelling Ashford International station to allow trains to connect to the branch.

Is it feasible? Is it happening? I haven’t found any threads about this topic which is why I am posting here.

The words of 'Bald Rick' are in these two postings regarding through workings from HS1 to the Hastings route. Exactly. There was never a thing that could honestly be described as a “Plan” (which would imply designs, costings, timescales, funding, sponsorship and so on).
