On Saturday 14th August Tornado (max 75 mph) was timed to run from Grantham to York start to stop in 66 minutes - it is 82 miles! Any comments?

No it wasn't, it was around the 80 minutes mark.

Actually it's nearer 83 miles which would give almost 75.5 mph average

I was on that train, and from memory (not actually recording) we were about 5 minutes late arriving - Tornado with 13 in tow went like a dream.
The return run was something else; 2 high speed runs, York to Claypole Loop which saw the ensemble scream through Donnie at around 75mph with chime whistle blowing, and Peterborough to Stevenage all on the fast really made it a good day!
