Lothian bus pass

Hi am in Edinburgh from 4-9/12. From a previous trip I have one of those Lothian 'oyster' type cards which normally I load a weekly bus pass on. I stay at a house on Calder Rd right out near the Prison so I use a minimum of two buses every day. Is there still the daft situation where you can't load the weekly on at Edinburgh airport when I arrive? Or is there an option to load it on line so its ready for me to get a bus from the airport via The Gyle Centre to Calder Rd? The other question was whether the trams are included on the weekly bus pass. Thanks for any help.
