Looking for routes for Train Sim.

Hello, so I am from the US but have have really taken an interest in trains from UK, although I am not really familiar with the in's and out's of all the routes. Usually I am only interested in modern stuff, however I was watching a video on YT which said that some routes still have semiphore signalling on secondary lines and such. So out of curiosity are there any modern routes for Train Sim that still use semiphore signals in some places? IIRC in the past I heard that TS doesn't like it when you mix signals like that route but I'm not sure if that's actually the case or if anyone has built a route like that.

The Wherry Lines from Armstrong Powerhouse is a great route with semaphores for most of it, and colour lights at Norwich. I’d recommend buying off steam as the route comes with no requirements, then buying the upgrade from the Armstrong Powerhouse website. You can get a healthy mix of DMUs on it (156, 158, 170) plus the loco-hauled trains like the Class 37 and Class 68. Lots of free scenarios for it on the Alan Thomson Sim website.

Another that's just come to mind is the North Wales Coastal, from Crewe to Holyhead; and the Marches Line, from Shrewsbury to Newport. There's a route on the Steam Workshop that combines the Marches line with the South Wales Coastal (if you also own that), so you can drive all the way from Shrewsbury to Bristol or to Swansea.

Crewe to Holyhead and Llandudno, you can have 150/153/158, Class 67 and MK4 coaches, 221. In the not so distant past you had Class 67 and MK3 coaches, Pendolinos hauled by Class 57.
