16:45 or 17:45?

16:45 must be a typo as the later time does seem to tie-in with the quoted 18:32-18:41 at Pen Mill and 20:04 arrival at Bristol. Also if it is 16:45 then I can see most people just piling onto the unit as it's a bit early to go home for a day out.

Well, the 17:47 (that was a typo on my behalf) departure is the finalised time, the 16:45 was listed on a TRUST/TOPS report. Though it used the code 1Z02, rather than the actual 2V67.

I'm inclined to believe it will be 17:47 off Weymouth.

Apparently operation of these trains has been suspended because the TOC (not sure if its FGW or EWS) doesnt have a safety case to operate these trains. Replacement busses have been provided this weekend.

So are we saying that riviera has a safety case for scheduled passenger operation but EWS doesnt?

Well - it's certainly the booked plan that Riviera 47s replace from next week - I think it may be an issue with EWSs passenger safety case with the locomotives only being able to operate railtours or something similar (the case could have changed since the Rhymney line 37 was dropped).

Replaced by Riviera 47s from next weekend.

As long as the gen is correct mind...

I think NR had a problem with it, as they were supposed to do 50MPH IIRC between Castle Cary and Dorchester, but we never went that slow

Unless drivers are sourced from somewhere else, it won't be 47s as all EWS drivers no longer sign them. Victa may have trouble resourcing as the Butlins-ex is running. There is always the Bristol Bluebirds though...

Sure we didn't do 50 between Castle Cary and Dorchester Jim? On the way to Weymouth on 28/07/07 we certainly didn't go very fast at all! Coming back at least was Rateable...:!:
