LNER - First class offering Thursday 15th

Is it worth going for the SeatFrog upgrades for Thursday? I don’t know whether it’s worth going for aside from more space with the trains being busy.

Depends how much you value a first class seat I guess - the food offering has been dumbed down until after Christmas. I got a GWR seat frog for £14 recently, but noticed recently LNER "buy it now" price to avoid auction process for upgrade is priced much higher than a GWR journey.

Also, as an avid Seatfrog user, you're often far more likely to be outbid on LNER (and Avanti until they infuriatingly ditched Seatfrog) than on GWR and XC, especially on morning trains out of London.
