Apart from the obvious station spotting, where are good places to spot trains especially freight in the Liverpool area?

Edge hill station has a good view of the GBRf facility with trains to/from the docks

Any station between Broad Green and Huyton for freight from Tuebrook or the docks.
Runcorn for freights from Garston FLT, Garston Car Terminal, Halewood JAG or Ditton FLT.
Knowsley to Wilton binliners can be viewed at Rainford.
