Hi, before I start, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to put such a thread, so I'm sorry if it's in the wrong place!
So, yeah, I'm Skye, and recently I made the shortenmytra.in service, to shorten links to Wikipedia and such. Pretty much what it can currently do is:
https://uk.shortenmytra.in/class number -> sends you to the Wikipedia page for that class number (the number is currently not sanitised, so if you put in Class 966 or something, it will send you to a nonexistent Wikipedia page)
and, https://uk.shortenmytra.in/toc code -> sends you to the Wikipedia page for a specified TOC (train operating company), ie SR will send you to the Wikipedia page for ScotRail (these are currently sanitised, ie ZX will return an error)
I mainly made this because I found it annoying to look up Wikipedia articles about train-specific codes.
However, I'm not done yet; given the uk prefix, you can see that I also am planning, eventually, to support other countries. And also, I'd like it to be able to take more pieces of railway info and give information about them, ie maybe /<train number>/rtt sends you to the tracking page for that train number etc.
I'm very much open for suggestions of additional features, but please keep in mind that, as a uni student, my time to work on such projects is limited.
Finally, the source code for this project is available at https://codeberg.org/ExoSkye/shortenmytrain, although currently it completely relies on anyone wanting to host it to own the shortenmytra.in domain name (which I own)

Very quickly, I just added the support for quickly looking up a train via it's train number, ie /801226 goes to the page for the class 801, and for redirecting to Realtimetrains for tracking, ie /801226/rtt sends you to the tracking page that you'd get to if you were to use quick search on RTT to get to a tracking page for it.

As of right now, I added a number of new features. You can now look up headcodes and stations, and you can use more than just RealTimeTrains. The current full list in that regard is Traksy, OpenTrainTimes, RailCam and Rail-Record.
