And start from scratch - new party, new leader, new name, new position?
Judging by the polls, they are gonna be all but wiped out in June, which saddens me as a former member and have a "winning here" pole in my garden.
But deep down I'm more to the right than they are, the center-right seems to be the posititon which is vacant at the moment and in future, with the right policies and right leader could attract stray Tories.
Leader? Who knows what will happen after June and who defects. If Labour fail to improve then there could be dissenters ready to start afresh, the wrong sort of Brexit could lead to a Tory backbench backlash.
But I doubt any would defect to the Libdems- probably another SDP-type group and yet another merger with the Libdems; but would they want to join a failling party?
Wonder on here, looking ahead, would it be desirable to have a working centerist party, especially if Corbyn can't reduce the Tory lead in the HoC?
