that simply isnt true.

Which bit, that you can sit in Spoons at the station on a Friday and watch hen party after stag party bouncing in and out, often with North East accents? Or that there are far better places to go drinking than Leeds' rather genric scene these days? Because I assure you both are true.

If you think the drinking scene in Leeds is generic, you aint drinking in the right parts :) Had a lovely smoked stout down by Arla, mind you its a shame the Queen Victoria has been turned into a Tesco Metro.

you are wrong about the later. There are loads of good pubs in Leeds. Several very close to the station. In fairness I don't know Bratfud well.

I suppose it is subjective. There are one or two like the one underneath P17 next to the south entrance or the Aire Bar down by the river that I do like, but having sampled many of Leeds' establishments I find that elsewhere has better ambience. If you are ever in Bradford again I would recommend a trip to the Sunbridge Tunnels and then up to North Parade for lots of indie places with some fine, sometimes locally brewed beerness. And a bit further up the line The Fox at Shipley behind P1 (heading there soon :D) and Fannys in Saltaire are not to be missed, and are the gateway to many more fine establishments!

The Three Legs and The Duncan are two of the best pubs in Leeds by far. Shame Spencers and Prince of Wales changed into trendy craft beer/real ale bars.
