Back pre-covid, Euston used to have a late night 2300 to Manchester. Is it ever going to come back?

I have on occasions used it to MKC and it's been nearly empty. The arrival time of around 2:30am is a bit late for most.

There is/was a 22:00 Euston to Manchester Picc. that has been running since 1999 (or earlier) and that used to arrive after 1 am. Why did that one continue?

Yes I seem to recall it was poorly patronised on most evenings. It too various different routes depending on engineering blocks too I think.

Because it's an hour earlier so thus less unpopular?

It's also the last service of the day before the two track timetable makes Euston to MKC take an hour (though it does appear to take 43 minutes).

It's now a 2203 by the way, arriving 0040, which isn't *that* late.

Runs slow Line from Bourne End Jn - two track timetable starts part way through its journey.
