Landor street, Birmingham info needed please

Hi all,

If we have any Freightliner based people who might be able to advice me I'd be greatful.

I need to visit the Lawley street depot at the end of the week and I've been told to report at a cafe next to fire exit of the Freightliner green house.

I've been on google maps and had look, I don't see any double yellow lines but is it ok to park down there?, do you need a special permit?, is it safe to park a vehicle there for any length of time?

My only other alternative is to get off at dude stone and walk round, but that looks a good 30 minute walk or so!

Any advice would be good.

On a typical day, you'll see plenty of cars parked up along the road there. There might be a little more parking space if you head further eastwards along the road and under the bridges. You might want to pull up onto the pavement a little to get a bit further out of the way of the container lorries that thunder up and down there!

So other than looking out for big lorries, it should be fine to park there? I thought it might be a tow away area or restricted vehicle parking area?

No - there's normally plenty of cars parked along there without any issues. I've done so myself a few times to watch freight going past on the overbridge.
