Ok so I'm new here fingers crossed I'm doing it right found this in my garage after a recent move have put it under it's title on eBay her faudels any Info you have would be great

Hi and welcome to the forum, there are many people on here who are much better qualified than I on this subject, but in the meantime I would hazard an unqualified guess and suggest that it could be a Great Western Railway guards or possibly signalmans handlamp, I'm certain someone will be along soon to confirm.

It is a hand-lamp. The handle should rotate to put coloured filters (or none) in front of the flame. The lamp will be worth more if it has its burner and reflector intact. If you have the burner, it may be worth taking out the wick and checking the container for leaks. Probably best sold 'as is' rather than trying to do any restoration, and do mention the presence (or absence) of the burner.
