I went over to the KWVR for the 1st day of the 3 day Vintage weekend.
The vintage train consisted of 1054 Webb Coal Tank built 1888,
L&YR no. 47 Blackpool Club Car was built in 1912, 279 4 compartment First Built probably in 1880, L&YR 1507 6 Wheel 5 Compartment Third built c1882, E46157 (added because of the non appearance of the L&YR brake coach) and finally LNER saloon 21661, more famously known as the Old Gentleman’s Saloon in the Railway Children film, is arguably the oldest operational standard gauge passenger coach in the world and seats just 14 people
Photos of all the coaches starts here with the Blackpool club car

Earlier after the first run of the vintage coaches was hauled by D9520, 1054 was added on the front at Haworth

75078 was on the main buffet car service, adorned with a wreath on the smoke box for the passing of a working volunteer earlier in the week
seen here approaching Haworth
and running round at Oxenhope
75078 framed by the tunnel at Keighley

There were some steam traction engines outside Haworth station

Lots more photos from the day stating here

47715 is due to stay until at least next April.

45212 is to return to the railway tomorrow being dragged by a WCR loco from the ELR to KWVR on 0Z12
In "Push and Pull" it says:

'...discussions are now underway regarding where the locomotive may fit within our developing ten-year locomotive strategy. There are a number of possibilities under consideration...'

Does anyone know if 45212 has returned and if it still has air brakes (I would assume so as a 57 dragged it)

Yes it’s now in the shed at Haworth and it looks like it still has its air brakes

The fact that it was dragged from Bury to Keighley with a loco at each end - presumably through-piped - would seem the indicate that the loco's air braking equipment had been removed....or at least was inoperative.

Could the equipment have been transferred onto another locomotive at Bury perhaps?

Hopefully 212 ends up back in traffic on the KWVR soon; it’s a great loco.

Braking equipment is a bit academic if it is going to sit in the Oxenhope exhibition shed for the next five years or more.
It’s currently on Haworth shed, which seems a bit more promising than Oxenhope shed :)

Anybody know if the 8F or the jinty are due to be overhauled or are currently being plz?

The jinty ain't the most powerful but always proves popular with punters it appears.
