A rare opportunity has arisen for a full time public transport editor in Trafficlink's head office.

A working knowledge of the National Rail network would be desirable as you'll be responsible for gathering accurate and timely public transport traffic information for some of the biggest commercial radio and television stations in the UK, and for the BBC, including information displayed on Ceefax / BBCi.

An interest in all forms of Public Transport would also be beneficial, as you will be editing information for flights, ferries, and all light rail forms too. Computer literacy is a must as is the ability to get into Central London for early morning, afternoon, late night or weekend shifts.

Would have loved to do it, but it's a bit difficult to get to London from here with a commute. Too skint to move near London too

Hmmm...I've been looking to return to work again, and this might well prove worth pursuing. Also - As I only live 500yds from Coxster - I should be able to use the same train diagrams that he does for getting into work, so there'd be no timetable planning headaches until the 31st December 2008CE either! :eek:

I suppose thought that switching my sleeping pattern around a bit first might be a good idea though, and having my CV stored on something other than punched-tape (Only kidding! 8)) might be beneficial, too!

I'll sleep on it for the time being, but I'll probabally send my CV and a covering letter in all the same to see if I may be a suitable candidate. From what I know of Coxster's role, the shift times shouldn't pose a problem...However, I would be wanting to find out what the travel scheme is (If any), as I sure cannot afford a Gold Card from Farnborough at the moment! hock:
