I'm looking for confirmation on if I need a photocard if using a Weekly season ticket on GWR. Their website seems very happy to sell me one without warning me I do, and on their app it has a warning telling me I need to get a photo card if I fulfil to a paper ticket, but when I fulfil to smartcard it does not display such a warning. My smartcard does not have a photo on it.
If I do need to get a photo card is anyone able to advise how this might be possible without a paper form. I distinctly remember being able to order a photo smartcard online with GWR 2 years ago, but this card has long since lost it's ink and been binned, and I cannot seem to find a way to get one now. I can't get a photo card from a station as the cost of buses to and from it and of using a Photo Booth negates the benefit of the season ticket.
