Hi, just to say I wasn’t meaning I would argue that I need the railcard discount or be in a position to argue.

More so that I am questioning am I going to get lambasted for effectively having committed 2 offences on the same journey

Please relax until you get a letter. Nothing is achieved by trying to analyse every possibility to the nth degree. Once you have a letter you will be able to get good advice on how to respond. In the meantime, wait and stop trying to overthink everything.

Hard to tell - I don't think it makes it more likely they will prosecute just because you have committed more than one offence.
