Hey People..

even though im a Train Dispatch Supervisor, Ive recently applyed for a High Speed Host with South Eastern - Got a Letter from them this morning, asking me to go to a Interview

Whats the likely hood i will get the job, With my previous experience?

Sorry, it's not really possible for me to give you an answer!

I imagine your chances will veery much depend on how your personality and character, as well as your experienc ematches up with the competencies of the post.

At the interview I woudl expect you to have to answer questions on, and give details of actual examples showing how you behaved in particular situations. There may also be a written assessment.

Still, they have offered you an interview, so you are on the way!

I can only speak as a passenger on Southeastern High Speed (I've used it a fair bit), but it's clear that train hosts on the service are picked for their customer service skills, presentation and for being articulate. They all seem to consistently score far higher in these areas than a lot of conductors on non-HS services (not just on Southeastern).

(I didn't realise they recruited directly for these positions, I'd always imagined it would be something that would come as a result of progressing through the links (do conductors even have links?) like driving job on HS services)
