Did they shout something like "excuse me" to the OP but they didn't hear as they were in a call? I did once get stopped by BTP at Euston (I was doing the usual "down the ramp and double back") but before the train was on the displays and they thought I was headed towards the staff only bit, but they shouted to me and asked what I was doing, and went away when I told them.

If they did that and the OP didn't respond, what happened might be the next step.

Seems to be a focus on the terrorist angle in this thread whilst based on what OP said it seems more like the pervert angle was what was in the police's mind. In which case a "pounce" seems inevitable to stop OP deleting evidence of the creepshots.

Which is where accountability comes in. It is very dodgy ground indeed to be arresting people without a reasonable suspicion of criminal activity. Taking a photograph isn’t an offence.
Nobody was arrested in this instance.

a good part of the police do like to get involved, and ask questions, and don't seem to listen to answers...ie with football supporters, they seem to be condemned by being supporters, also with all the cctv coverage about, the police don't like cameras. I believe for the police to stop you, ask name and other details, they have to have reason that your going to , or have committed a crime. To most its a case of i'm the police, you will do what i say, or your for it...

We're starting to drift off-topic and into speculation so it's probably best we wrap this up now.

If @1920 has anything new to update following engagement with the BTP then we can re-open the thread if it's reported to the Moderating Team using the 'report' button in the bottom left of this post.
