Why bother, for at starting price of £750 you could build a far bigger more extensive layout and for one get better stock than a 0-4-0 smokey joe!

I think there is more on offer than what is shown. The pics are only a taster.

However, the price tag will never be met, unless someone really is stupid! (like the person who bought a del-prada 373 in GNER for £52, thinking it was a CJM repaint on a Kato model).

The seller needs to understand the people he is selling to with this. £750 is way above a christmass present or birthday for a small boy, which the layout is designed for. No modeller is going to want a layout like that, even if they couldnt be bothered to make one themselves, they could still get far better for less.

(Quote - I have added a link so people can how much a pre built layout will cost you as it is not just the materials but also the time and creativity involved, please not the size of the set's compaired to this one.)

Must admit ........ placing a few plastic cows around and a couple of buildings takes a lot of time and creativity

He's trying to compare his efforts??? with something like this

thumb.php

And that's only priced at £241 new ..... no Smokey Joe engine included though :(

I suppose anything the seller can do to raise its overated value and suck it up. No one in the next two days will be crazy enough to pay...

What a shame, no bidders. Be interesting to see if the seller puts it up again, perhaps for a more reasonable price...
